The Mental Load Co was created because we believe everyone deserves to feel seen.
As a mum of three energetic boys, I know firsthand that the mental load is real. It's the constant remembering, planning, organising, anticipating everyone's needs, and carrying the invisible responsibilities that so often go unnoticed.
But my understanding of caring for others began long before motherhood.
Growing up, my dad lived with Huntington's disease and required full-time care. Watching the emotional, physical and mental demands placed on those who loved and cared for him gave me a deep appreciation for the often unseen sacrifices carers make every day. I saw the pressure, the stress, the exhaustion, and the unwavering love that exists behind the scenes.
Those experiences shaped The Mental Load Co.
In today's busy world, so many people carry invisible responsibilities every day. Whether you're a mum juggling family life, a carer supporting a loved one, a new parent navigating sleepless nights, someone giving back to their community, or simply someone going through a difficult season, it's easy to put your own wellbeing last.
We started The Mental Load Co with a simple mission: to make thoughtful gifting more accessible while supporting mental wellbeing. We believe that even a small act of kindness can have a powerful impact, reminding someone they're appreciated, valued and not alone.
Our affordable gift hampers are thoughtfully curated with comfort, recognition and self-care in mind. Every box is designed to create a moment of pause, offer comfort, and help someone feel seen, supported and understood. Whether it's for a mum, a carer, a friend, a colleague, a new parent, a teacher, or someone who simply needs a little lift, our goal is always the same: to remind people that they matter.
Our signature Mental Load gift boxes use humour to shine a light on the invisible load of parenting and the everyday chaos that comes with caring for others. Filled with relatable messages and light-hearted moments, they're designed to make people laugh, feel understood, and know they're not carrying the weight of it all alone.
Because supporting mental wellbeing shouldn't have to come with a luxury price tag. Sometimes the most meaningful gifts are simply a reminder that someone cares—and sometimes, a reminder to laugh at the chaos along the way.
